Suggestion for IPB integration

Hi Forum, sorry again for my bad english

I hope is the just forum for this argument

The IPB-PP integration display in PP the username of IPB, but I believe that he would be corrected that display the field "members_display_name" instead of file "name" of table "ibf_members".

Many users on the forum change their visualized name, but now these users have a name on the forum and an other name in the gallery, and this does not appeal.

This is a suggestion for the next version of PP-IPB integration, but it is possible for me to replace now?

You can try editing your ib2.php file like so

FIND

Hi Chuck, tnx for fast reply

I have mod the file, and now show the members_display_name nearly everywhere, but the very first problem is during upload photo, whit this error:

"Rob Rota: Unable to find this user. Please check spelling."

("robrota" is my username, "Rob Rota" is my IPB display name)

Now I explore the gallery to search eventual problems with display name, but I am sure that I do not find

Hi forum, reopen this topic...

the real name is now is display instead the username in all page of gallery, but not in the comment on the showphoto page.

I have tried in the template of showphoto page but I have not found what to modify

Suggestion?

I would have to look into it to say the above was simply a quick post for someone to try but again when I can get a full copy of invisionboard to play with.
