large pictures resized by 'convert' -how do I force DB to update for some reason the image size limits were removed and there were 800 or so HUGE full size pictures uploaded I used convert -resize to shrink them which saved a ton of disk space Is there any way to get the DB to see the new smaller size images ? The db sees the original file size in the "· Filesize: 65.8kb, 317.8kb " listing AND the large size image link goes to TOO big image - just stretches the newly resized picture Is is possible to do a db scan to reset the new sizes ? |
Follow up - Is there a way to use PP to resize the pictures that slipped past the size limits ? Check all images to be sure they max out at 1024 x768 for examples |
No sorry there is not a way to do this that I know of we resize medium and thumbnails in admin scan database but the original ones are sized at upload to your specifications and can not be resized. You can not update things if you did some hand editing without writing I would assume here some custom scripting to check each image and write the new dimensions and size to the database. |
