How do I get RSS to show?

Hi guys,

I looked for links on this site, but, I couldn't find anything about how to get RSS to show up in 6.1. There's a mod available for pre-6.x releases, but, now it looks like RSS is included in the newest version (6.1). I looked for rss.php, but, it's not in the distribution of either Photopost Pro 6.1 or Classifieds 3.0.

I would like to use it, but, just need some guidance on how to get it to show up. My system was upgraded from 6.0 (pp) and 2.6 (classifieds).

You will see an rss link on the address bar of your browser when viewing a category.

If you look at the RSS feed, it's from the forums and not the photo gallery. Shouldn't it be from the photo gallery?

I see an RSS feed from your gallery, not the forums. From what I can see, the link on your RSS feed is different because it has the /gallery directory and not the /forums directory like mine. Maybe there's a link issue?

Do you happen to have any hand coded edits to say your header include template of vb which puts forums before your external.php link?

http://www.photopost.com/forum/
http://www.photopost.com/photopost/index.php

Both default vb installs here and same thing both external.php links work because they open the external.php file located within each directory.

Not that I know of. I haven't modified the system all that much from what I can see. Is there a template that you want me to post? I'd be happy to send it..

I am just trying to understand why your site is not acting like every other site.

This is right in pp-inc.php

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Now your external link should be a relative link in vb that I know of but yours has forums prefixed before it which is causing this issue. I dont know offhand in vb where thats defined. We both know vb uses relative links always so they would never prefix the /forums/ part on their script as your vb directory can be any name. This would have had to be a hand edit. Let me see what I can find.

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Classic Zcar Club RSS Feed" href="/forums/external.php?type=RSS2" />

I asked for this long time ago but...

The link should be Big FAT ORANGE RSS icon ON THE GALLERY PAGES / CATEGORY PAGES rather than some tool bar or depend on the browser to show the RSS link.
