What do I set "$host_bb=" to?

If I have my user database on another server what do I set $host_bb= to? I've tried both the IP of the server that the user database is on and I've tried the domain name and when I change it to either and upload the config-inc.php file my site just comes up as a white page.

What am I suppose to set this setting to?

This would all depend on the setup of your external user that you setup on that external hosting server. You can ask your host to clarify what your mysql settings to use would be.
