Animated Gifs

We need some help in setting one of our galleries up so that it looks like we have seen elsewhere.

Our gallery is here

The original image is 150 but it has resized it. Is there a way to stop this but no affect other images that are uploaded to be affected as well?

We want the upload process and viewing process to mimic what they have here

The animated images are not resized nor do they animate. (When you click on them, they are animated though)

Thank you.

animated gifs do not allow themselves to be processed. If you wish to mimic the way they have things set you must set your thumbnail threshold to be larger than the actual animated gifs.

Hi Chuck,

I understand that animated gifs don't process very well, however, as you can see from the other site, they found a way to at least make them look okay. I don't care if they don't animate... and if that is what we have to do I'm good with that.

I'm not for sure what you mean though by making our thumbnail threshold larger than the actual animated gif.

Our thumbs are 200x200. These images are 150x50. Can you please outline exactly what options need to be changed so that

1. The thumbnail is static and not animated.
2. That it does not resize the thumbnail.

Thank you.

well if you get a messed up thumb that is blurry then your thumbnail is actually being resized which is what I am saying.

Maybe try setting your thumbnail to 150?

you could also try using gd2 if your using imagemagick maybe that will make a difference. I cant really tell you what that gallery settings are. Thats not something I can see.

Switching to GD2 has made a static image for the thumbnail.
