Search Stopped Working -- Best Way to Troubleshoot?

Hi!

When we upgraded a month or so ago, the search function in PhotoPost ceased working. Everything else seems to work fine. What would be the best way of troubleshooting this? I made a couple of template modifications (not related to searching), but I understand this means I may not be able to get technical support. Should I install the software, without modifications, in a new directory, link it up to the database, and see if the problem persists. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

well what do you mean it does not work.

I would suggest posting a link and test login here

Yes hacking the code may mean we may tell you to upload clean files to your install but post a link and login and lets go from there

The problem is when you search on a term, you see the "Forwarding to search results" screen, but then it goes back to the search.php screen -- no results are shown. This happens on any search word that would normally be found. If the search word is not found, I do get the "So sorry, but there were no results for your query. Please go back and try another set of keywords." message.

I would suggest you upload all the files except the config files and then see if things work. Did you run the upgrade script?

I show you still have the old upgrade script on the server you might want to remove that upload the new one run your 5.61-6.02 upgrade if this is what you upgraded to and see from there.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my original post. I upgraded MY SERVER, not PhotoPost. After the server upgrade, the search function stopped working.

So you think I should try uploading all the original files again to see if that makes a difference?

You should try updating your files except your config files and make sure all your database tables exist you could safely run upgrades 5.5 through 6.0 again

What type server is this what are the specs? phpinfo?
