remove the option of where up upload photos

When uploading photos, the first question is:

"Choose a category to upload your images to.
Pick a category that relates most to your image(s)."

and you can pick a location, with the default being their personal album / gallery / member's area.

I'd like to remove this option so that all photos go to the member's area by default, and they are given the option to copy the photo to other location on step two.

Is this easy to do (template edit I think). Also, is there a bigger picture that I'm missing, as to why I would not want to do this? The only thing that I can think of is that the additional fields will be lost with the copy.

My main reason for doing this is that there is a link in each person's vbulletin postbit that links to their personal gallery (see my post here for what I mean). I'd like this link to take me to all their photos, not just the ones that didn't get into other categories.

There is no way to do this that I see as in the categories that appear in this box are the ones you upload too by setting permissions that you can upload to them in admin. removing them from this box would remove the ability to move to them in the optional cat step as well.

I've figured out. I just did some template edits to remove that field from view. Since all uploads seem to default to my member's area I'm good to go.

remove from uploadphoto.tpl

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

then remove from bulkupload.tpl

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

If it works thats fine but I would assume you need to pass a category variable in the script so best to test your edits.

Yeah, you were right. I had to undo the changes I made to bulkupload.tpl. I need to pass the proper $catoptions, but I'm not so sure how to do that..

You could try adding to the uploadphoto template this but no guarantees. Feel free to discuss your code modifications outside support in THE MOD CORNER if it will help further

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
