Watermark permanently

Hi Chuck
I have two questions:
I want to watermark permanently the pictures after upload them. Now, you can see a watermark in the medium size, but if you go to the direct link, you are able to see the picture without watermark.

I applied this to a category:
Check here to watermark unwatermarked files

And i don't see any difference.
For example:
http://www.egiptoforo.com/fotos/showphoto.php/photo/196

But this without watermark:
http://www.egiptoforo.com/fotos/data...n_bahariya.jpg

Is there a way?

And is it possible to watermark a picture when its opened with lightbox?

thanks.

Last question for today. Where is the code (template)i have to remove for not showing post count under the user's avatar.
Thanks

If you want to permanently watermark photos then turn off the display of the overlay watermark in your admin and under watermark options turn on watermarking. then in admin edit categories set watermarking permissions. You can then run the scan database tool to watermark images that have not been watermarked.

I would like to set a category for permanent watermarking but I can't see any "watermarking permissons" option in admin edit categories as referenced above? I only see a "path to watermark image" option. I don't want all of my pics to be watermarked, just one category. Is this possible?

You need to turn on permanent watermarking under admin watermark options then set permissions per category in admin edit categories.

Ah I see the option only appears after turning on watermarking. Thanks Chuck, that's working now (once I remembered to use a gif file!).

A quick question on this please - does the watermark image automatically scale to fit the size of image uploaded?

Yeah I always found that best like you dont want the watermark to be larger than the actual images they are watermarking. I always found something this size works for me transparency
