Files not being deleted from directory

For some reason the files from my "upload" directory are no longer being deleted after they are processed with Photopost Pro. They used to be deleted, but obviously I've changed an option somewhere. I've looked through all settings and have chmoded the directory 777, but to no avail.

I've also noticed that their are three directories in my uploads directory named: 1, 2, 3. Files uploaded to directories 1 & 2 will not process. The program says that they are being processed, but then it goes directly to the category page that I'm trying to process to, but nothing is processed. Only when directory 3 is used do the files actually process.

Neither of these is a big deal, but I'm wondering if a more important underlying issue might be causing these anomalies.

Can you suggest what I might be missing?

have your server host check permissions and file ownership. files should be deleted when processed.

Hi Chuck,

I've checked the permissions (I'm using a VPS and can do so myself) and they are as follows:

photopost 755
-uploads 777
--1 755
--2 777
--3 755
---All jpgs 644

This may be related:

If I try and process more than 10 photos at a time, the first 10 process OK, then I receive the following errors rather than the next set of 10 photos:
Quote:
Warning: getimagesize(/home/talkabou/public_html/tatphotos/uploads/3/plo031508sm20991.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/talkabou/public_html/tatphotos/image-inc.php on line 264

well for one the permissions on 1 and 3 are incorrect they need to be 777. I was really talking more file ownership group if something is not deleted

Anyway if you set permissions to 777 and see if things operate and as far as image type not supported one of your files is corrupt you uploaded.

Chuck,

Thank you so much for your time and help.

Changing 1 and 3 to 777 has fixed the problem I was having with the files not being deleted.

Changing the way I was saving my jpegs out of Photoshop has fixed the "image type not supported" errors. I wouldn't have figured this out without the info you provided.

Excellent support!! Again, thank you.
