additional field display

I've started using the extra text fields 1 -6 so users can add info on their bikes I then added one more additional text field for another component and everything looked OK until you view an image - the extra fields which have no input do not show but the additional text field I've added does show despite it having no data, how do i get them to either all appear and show no data or for the additional field created not to appear if it is blank?

http://my.orangebikes.co.uk/showphoto.php?photo=647 and you can see the additional text field saddle/seatpost shows, the 6 above it do not.

TIA

Additional Extra Fields are processed and handled way different since they can be checkboxes or select boxes instead of just text boxes like the other extra fields which are stored in the photos table. There is no switch to turn them off.

it might be worth explaining that they won't display correctly in the field admin help panel

sorry I think it would be worthwhile to explain that the additional admin added fields don't behave like extra fields already present i.e. you cannot extend the extra fields from 6 to 7 or 8, you can add new fields but this isn't the same so maybe the help screens and split between extra and additional fields needs to be clearer, I'd wrongly assumed that they were one and the same thing when they are not, the additional field always displays even when no data, an extra field does not

Correct as I noted in my initial reply these fields do not display the same. Additional fields are arrays of data and shown whether empty or not.

yes, we've established that but your reply doesn't address my comment on adding to the help/explanation in the admin panel

what I'm suggesting is that you make that clearer in the admin panel not keep repeating things in forums.
