Question Postnuke - PP usergroup permissions issues

I've integrated postnuke and PP and it seems to work fine. However, I can't seem to get usergroups to behave properly for anonymous or guest users.

After setting the appropriate usergroup and category options, guests can still:
1.) view and post comments
2.) see and view the upload link and area, however can't upload anything
3.) view large images in a particular category. I'd like guests to view a category and thumbs but not the large images.

Postnuke set's Anonymous/Guest uid as "1".

I've tried setting the uid to "0" but that doesn't help. Any ideas?

Unless something has drastically changed in Postnuke guests do not belong to any usergroup. In fact Users are usergroup 1 and Admin is usergroup 2. We actually assign guests to usergroup 100

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Therefore if someone is not logged in they get the permissions you assign to that group. Therefore you need to set the guests to the permissions you wish. If you do not wish guests to view or post comments to a category then in Admin => Edit Categories edit your cats and remove those permissions.

If you do not wish guests to view thumbs and not large images in all cats then forget about the suggestion above and instead go to registration options in admin and set the setting that guests need to register to view images and that should do what you want.

I suspect here you have permissions set incorrectly.

You can a post a link for us to look at

OK, that was it...I didn't toggle the "guests need to register to view images" option. However, the upload link and interface still shows.
I would like to disable the "Upload" link in the menu bar for guests. Is there a way to do that?

I've done that but the link and interface still show up. Also, looking that the database Guests are set to groupid 100 and all of the settings are set to "0" across that row.
They aren't able to upload but they can see it.
