Re-direct issue - conflict with photo gallery block on index

Hello,

At the moment, I just have forums, so until I implement an homepage ect, I'm using a re-direct in my .htaccess file.

My site goes like this:http://techsupportteam.org/forum/

However, I want the www. at the beginning, after http://.

So, I put this in my .htaccess file:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
But when I insert that in, then upload it, the photos at the top of my forums index just disappear, leaving "From the Tech Support Team gallery" and the boarder.

Any ideas why?

Regards Jason

Does that work without the www? The issue has to do with the htaccess for sure but I am unsure here. If your just looking to redirect people to your forum from your main site delete the htaccess and create an index.php file and place this in there.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

It works without the www., however I want it so if you type, www.techsupportteam.org, it will go to http://www.techsupportteam.org, instead of http://techsupportteam.org

Where do I create the index.php file, in the /public_html?

Regards Jason

Yes delete your htaccess and in your webroot place index.php file with the contents I posted and that should do what you want it to do.

Yes, that works.

Can't I keep the .htaccess file, as I have some rewrites in there to keep bad bots from stealing bandwidth?

Regards Jason

If I click the main site link here

http://techsupportteam.org/

I get directed here

http://www.techsupportteam.org/forum/

so what does not work?

I've said it works, read my post.

I then asked:

LOL I misread it.

I dont know about that htaccess sorry it does not appear to allow the www. it only works without but what I posted does what you want. If you do not want bots on your site then upload a robots.txt to your webroot and disallow bots.
