| Admin/mod access - bulk upload?
I have a few people testing out my gallery. I've given them different permissions to see how it's going to work for people. What I've been doing is uploading a bunch of files into their directory via FTP. Then they go to Upload Photos and try to process them.
For me, with admin access, I have no problem, I can just hit upload, with or without the skip upload box checked, and they process.
Sometimes (with mod but not admin access) they can get them to work, but usually it's by clicking the submit button without checking the "skip upload" box.
Then someone else logged in, with just "regular user" access (not admin or mod, but with all other regular privs) and he couldn't get it to work either way no matter the state of the checkbox. Either way, it didn't work. He did see the right number of files in his queue, though. Then, I added him to the gallery mod usergroup, which gave him mod access, and immediately he could get it to process through. It worked without the box checked.
So, do people need to have mod access to use bulk upload for some reason? They all have unlimited upload sizes/quotas etc. If they do, how can I fix this?
Any idea why the checkbox would be working basically backwards?
Thanks.

Your que will be processed when you try to upload. They can upload a file and any other files found in their uploads directory will be processed. You do not need to be an admin mod to use bulkupload you only need to have files in the uploads directory of the user. Now obviously to do true bulkuploading you need an ftp account to upload files. skip upload just processed the upload box so you dont need a trigger photo.
If someone has an issue you need to find out what the issue is and report it.

The issue is that someone with regular not-mod not-admin access could not bulk upload, with or without the box checked. There were files in his directory and they wouldn't process until I set him up with mod access.

what do you mean could not? There is no switch that says you need to be admin or mod.

I mean, he tried a few times with the box checked and unchecked, and it just went to his member gallery, as if he had no images in his queue, even though he had 12 or so and could see the number. Then I added him to my "gallery mod" VB usergroup, which in PP has mod access, and the next time he tried it, it worked.

Not that big, but I just tried it again with a test user and now it's working. So who knows. If it happens with someone else, I'll post again. Thanks.
