New registered members missing upload button

Awhile back I added vbulletin integration to my longtime gallery. Most things seem to be working ok, but I just discovered that anyone who registered *after* the integration is missing the upload button in the gallery! No wonder there have been fewer uploads for the last few months.

Any suggestions on how to fix this one??

Well the product is not designed to switch integrations so what do you mean by add integration to the forum? I would suspect your usergroups are not synced correctly. If you have correctly integrated the products you can delete all usergroups under your photopost usergroups table via phpmyadmin in your hosting control panel except usergroup 6 which is your admin usergroup in vbulletin and then choose to resync usergroups under admin => edit usergroups and set permissions accordingly. Usergroup 2 is the registered usergroup in vbulletin and if you have not set upload permissions for that group then users will not be able to upload.

setting upload permission

Chuck,

>Usergroup 2 is the registered usergroup in vbulletin and if you have not set >upload permissions for that group then users will not be able to upload.

I don't see an option for upload permission for usergroup 2 (registered users) .. I must be looking in the wrong place... can you give me a clue? Or is this a vb question?

Thanks,

In Photopost Admin => Edit Usergroups set permissions for the proper usergroups to upload comment etc. If the proper usergroups are synced with the forum the the second displayed group should say registered users.

Here's what my photopost groups look like

Chuck,

Getting back to this... Here are the usergroups that I see in the gallery admin "edit usergroups" listing:

Banned
COPPA
Unregistered
Registered
Owner
Administrator
Design Team
Imported Banned
Imported COPPA
Imported Unregistered
Imported Registered
Imported Owner
Imported Administrator
Imported Design Team

I'm guessing that this means they aren't synchronized?
There is a button at the bottom of the table that says
"Refresh usergroups from your forum software" but I didn't want to click it until I understood what it does...

Oh, forgot to add, if I make a forum user a member of "Imported Registered" then they will see the "upload" option in the gallery. Which explains why all the new registrations (since integrating the forum and gallery) don't see the upload option... so is the answer what you said earlier re deleting the categories in the gallery db (except admin), etc. Seems scary...
