my site is working so that my vbulletin board headers and footers show up - however the link at the top of my board, which normally takes you back to forumhome, is a dead link

If you hit the folder looking thing it should take you back to your forum.
Please post a full direct url to your photopost install so we may see your site thanks.

another thing I'm having a problem with - my default style has some table headers that are dark blue, and it's making the calendar too dark, and when you go to the area to make 'my albums' it's too much blue...is there an easy way to fix that?

In Admin => Forum Settings turn on the setting to use the forum style and see how things view.

Honestly off the top of my head I would not know but suspect you would need to find the code in your vbulletin navbar template and code in some forum link there on the forum title which is what that wording is.
