Please help. Issues with include and the features include.

For the past 2 days I have been going nuts using the script thatshows the thumb nails and others in VBPortal. I know this is not a PP product but your input is appreciated.

Whenever I call the featured script or any other script from within a bloc using just

include('bla/bla');

It parses the script and just shows the content of the file. See attached file. If I copy the script to the block it works fine. You can see it working at www.nikoncamerauser.com with the entire code pasted in the block instead of just the include.

This sounds like apache or something else but it has been driving me mad. Your input is appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure when your creating your block in vbportal or vbadvanced that your electing for it to be a php block so the contents are parsed as php it seems your only making a text or html block not php.

I run a vbportal site and have no issues. The contents of my center block in vbportal is a php block with something like this. What your posting looks like the block is actually html block. You may also try updating your vbportal incase you have issues with their software. If you install the block in vbulletin as it is suppose to be installed and it works the issue must be your vbportal.

Thats what I thought. I have the latest version of vb, vbp and pp. I even cleared out the vbp install and did it again.

here is a simple test i am doing. I create this xxx.php script

$var1 = "Hello";
$var2 = "world";
echo $var1 . " " . $var2;

Then create a center block as php and add this line .

include('/path/to/xxx.php');

Then preview the block. It shows the content of the script .

Thanks for the help.

You might want to post this on the vbportal site as this does not appear to be anything to do with our product or any blocks your trying to do. It is an issue with vbportal trying to parse a php file as your test above clearly shows.
