| Style - Skin - Template Errors:
Okay, so i decided to purchase a template from a particular site. I followed the install directions to the tee, and now have successfully installed my first skin. The only thing is, a few of the navbar links have now been lost, and its displaying errors... i have included screenshots here:
Here is what the navbar on the forums side looked like after applying the skin... as you can see, all appears well except for the following missing links from the navbar - blogs, photo gallery & classifieds. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Here are screenshots of what the navbar looked like before, and then after, for both the classifieds/photo gallery sides - they display identical. See the errors?
Before: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
After: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Also, I have completely lost the navbar link display for the blog section across the board
It appears that all the links in the navbar pertaining to "add-ons" or plugins have been lost since installation of the new style... please guide me in the right direction as to what must be modified so that my navigational links are as they should be!
Thank you very much in advance!

If your using a custom vb style in your vb admin under style template admin view your global style settings for that style and simply correct the relative directory paths to full urls and your images will be shown over photopost. If there are any other questions let me know.

I've read and reready your reply and my brain is still hurting from the efforts... baby steps for me... first off, let me verify that I am in the correct area that needs modifying, is this it... 'Style Manager'? Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Chuck, again I thank you for your help, after following your instruction they appear to be in fine working order... but one issue remains. I lost the navbar links for the blog, classifieds and photo gallery sections.

Okay, time to compound the issues already at hand. I encountered this problem when i navigated to the blog section manually. The icons for the links in the blogs navbar is not displaying correctly here either... Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Look at your missing image paths and see why the images do not display. If you have lost links etc you obviously have been poking around somewhere other than what we have discussed here. You would need to add links back to i assume your navbar template in vb.

Self edit, got the links working for the most part... all of them have returned, the only one I am still missing is the 'blogs' option. It's no longer an option on the navbar...

I suppose I would create it in the same manner as the other links I had to insert?

Correct i beleive the blog install does this automatically but you must have reverted your template so yes you would simply create a link in the navbar.

Okay, that's been fixed... the only outstanding problem i'm facing is the icons/image are missing once within the blog section... i cant figure out where the image paths are located to correct them. Same as the screenshot i most recently added 6 posts up!
Thanks

Would this not be best asked at vbulletin support if your asking a blog support question? Your viewing your site like so right http://www.domain.com/forums/blog.php
That type of url is not photopost in any manner so as previously instructed by me in my previous posts your best thing is to view your that specific page and look at your image path error to see where its looking for those images. Do the images exist where your telling vbulletin they are suppose to be at. The problem with relative urls and photopost is only merely a matter of using relative paths and trying to show images over another directory that they exist. One of the reasons i always tell people when they ask for support place a url here for us to look at.

Okay, issue resolved... now i have one more... although you may request me to ask vbulletin, i'm hoping you could tell me instead... i will post on vbulletin as well as a precaution...
The navbar size is a bit too long, and does not display well in 1024 x 768 mode, looks great with any other HIGHER resolution, but it doesn't match up well when viewed in 1024 x 768.
Here's a screenshot: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Well my suggestion is to close the table row and make a new one like so whereever you wish mid cycle in the navbar to break it in 2 rows maybe after blogs link as you are trying to show too much information on one row which is gonna cause your cell to break out of a width.
</tr>

<tr> | Chuck, I sooooo wish I understood your language... do you think you can rephrase that so even a caveman could understand?
I have zero experience here... thanks.

Okay right after you placed your blog link in the navbar in vb template editor inert the two lines i posted above. This will split your navbar into two table rows and will eliminate your issue.

the most i can take from your last post is insert the code you've written somewhere in between, a place of my choosing...
is it safe to assume </tr> = close table row, and <tr> = open table row?

Correct my friend that is all your doing here. Your closing a table row and opening a new one so your links will be split into two rows and not break your table. I really do not know how simpler to write this than I already have sorry.

Got it, but here's how it looks now: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
