How do I Have this system show the display name and not the username?
 

I have invision power board 2.3.3 and use the converge so the username is the email address which members do not want to have displayed when the post an image to the gallery.

essentially you would need to rewrite your ib2.php integration file to pull that information.

I looked at that file but I am unsure of what to edit and how.

You may ask code mod questions in the mod corner. I would be glad to look at the integration if i have access to a ib2 forum backend etc when i get a chance.

are you telling me I need to make another thread?

I am saying if this something you need as a must then you are free to post in the mod forums. we only support the integrations as they exist right now and new features would be added when we have a chance to gain access to such forums and would update our integrations with new features most likely in future versions.

Do you want me to give you access to my site? would that help you in future versions?

Well if it is going to take a while would it be possible to find out which templates to edit to have it not show the username? I can do that for now.

That would depend on where your talking most scripts like showphoto showgallery etc have a template the same name so you would edit those variables for username in those templates but as noted there are many templates that show a name and you dont want to remove that name in most cases.

I think I have an idea for now at least until this is figured out.
Is to make it so I am the only one who can upload images.
Then if people do wish to add I have an upload script on my forum that is used for siggies that can be used for those who do wish to add images to the gallery.

Okay no problem like i said whenever you want to give me access and I get time i will look at how we can add new features to that integration.
