How do I...

1. Correct this error?

'Unable to move file [/tmp/phpauck14][/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/photos/uploads/1/P1010013.JPG]

I received this error after clicking the submit/upload button to upload a photo to the site as a test? Could the pic be too big?

2. I have PP PhotoPost Pro, PP Classifieds, as well as Vbulletin installed on my site. How do I incorporate the links to each section on the navbar?

Update...

After going back and resubmit the upload it advised me that it was successful... but upon completion of upload, there is no indication that any photo has been uploaded... nothing posted in the galleries, nothing in any of the statistics.

I went back to try and upload a different photo, again the same results, error, followed by successful upload, followed by no change in the galleries or stats indicating an upload has taken place...

Galleries still at 0 photos...

Hello

Well your first error is simple. I suggest you go back over the installation instructions and set permissions to 777 on the uploads and data directories at every level.

http://www.photopost.com/installphp.html

As far as adding links to vbulletin they make have more indepth help on vb at their site but basically you need to go to vbulletin admin panel and hit style and template admin link and go down to styles admin and view the style you are using. click the dropdown box to get to EDIT TEMPLATES. You then scan down to navigation templates and edit the navbar template and place html links in there for the gallery and classifieds. The html may vary depending on your stylesheet but something like this.

Code:

Thanks...

Thanks for the quick reply... after reading your reply i thought that I had initially done just that during the install, but to confirm I did check the permissions... and they are reading as chmod 777's, both directories. Here's the link to my site if you feel like recreating the error by uploading a photo in the gallery section... thank you again.

You may post a test login so we can try uploading there sure. The error you post clearly shows that the 1 directory under uploads is NOT set to 777. You can also check under Admin => PHPINFO make sure safe mode is off.

Well, i guess i should have read your initial response a bit more thoroughly... changed the permissions on the '1' folder, and uploads are working fine... thanks again.

Ok, uploading in general is working... but as i'm trying out all the options, i received the following error while attempting to move a photo from one category which I created, to the default "Member Gallery" category. I am able to transfer the photo to all the available categories BUT the "Member Gallery"...

/var/www/vhosts/reptilejunction.com/httpdocs/photos/data/502/medium/1751892010_971d08515_b.jpg - /var/www/vhosts/reptilejunction.com/httpdocs/photos/data/500/medium/1751892010_971d08515b_b.jpg
Copy of the file failed. Operation cancelled.

Thank you in advance Chuck S. as you seem to be the only photopost rep. that answers are ever demanding questions!

Again please recheck permissions. It would appear that not all your data directories at every level beneath are set to 777 and they need to be.

Well, I was pretty sure i had, and I went into the server to verify, and I am certain that the folders in questiion have their permissions set to 777. Again, this error ONLY occurs when I attempt to move a pic from ANY category/gallery to the 'Members Gallery'.

Error when moving pic from gallery to member gallery:

var/www/vhosts/reptilejunction.com/httpdocs/photos/data/502/medium/1751892010_971d08515_b.jpg - /var/www/vhosts/reptilejunction.com/httpdocs/photos/data/500/medium/1751892010_971d08515b_b.jpg
Copy of the file failed. Operation cancelled.

Now after verifying... it also provides an error when attempting to upload a pic in general to the 'Members Gallery'...

Error when UPLOADING to the member gallery:

Unable to read the format of file: /var/www/vhosts/reptilejunction.com/httpdocs/photos/data/500/medium/1751892010_971d08515b_b.jpg

Have you verified both the 500 directory and the 3 directories thumbs medium and mini are all 777? Your error tells me the permissions there are wrong at the very minimum that medium directory.

Yes, every directory/folder within the data directory/folder is at 777, excluding the avatars directory/folder and the index.html file. So as it stands, the data directory/folder looks like this:

1 (directory) = 777
2 (directory) = 777
500 (directory) = 777
501 (directory) = 777
503 (directory) = 777
504 (directory) = 777
avatars (directory) = 755
medium (directory) = 777
mini (directory) = 777
thumbs (directory) = 777
index.html = 644

Correct please reread my post above. You have only answered half the question. Your main directories 500,501 etc are 777 but have you verified that the directories medium mini and thumbs underneath each are also 777?

Your error tells me the medium directory under 500 is not 777 permissions.

Okay, continue with the link help... Is there an easy fix to create links within the photopost scripts (photo galler/classifieds) to include navigational links from one to the other, as well as including for the forums section?

please explain in detail with links so we can understand what your trying to ask here. All I can determine from your post above is your asking question about links somewhere. I beleive I explained in one of my initial responses how to add links in vb is this what you do not understand?

Sorry, I will try again. Basically, the navigation area at the top of each index page for both the gallery and classifieds side includes links for the following:

My Ads * My Watch List * Admin * Home * Search * Member List * - etc...

I want to insert additional links to allow members to navigate to each section of the site... * Forum * Classifieds * Gallery...

I was already able to do the same thing for the vb forum script, thanks to you and your past posts!

Okay your loosing me here. Your integrating with vbulletin. If you have added those links they would be shown at the gallery and classifieds. Are you trying to say you do not use the enhanced vb integration?

This is why we asked for links to see your site. You can edit the menubar template in admin edit templates and add any links you wish but if your properly integrated with vb and using the enhanced integration any links you add the the vb navbar template would be shown over photopost products.

Hmmm... well, apparently i must NOT be using the enhanced vb integration as neither the photo gallery nor the classifieds index/home page include links for each other or the forum... so, I will begin to peruse the admin cp's for both to correct the issue... if you can just point me in the right direction to enable it, i would greatly appreciate it... thank you.

Disregard last request... after reveiwing my selected options per your advice... I remember not selecting to use the vB3 integration as I had issues with it, where once refreshed/updated - the page was stark white, completely blank. After looking at it closely, the 'server path to forum directory' was incorrect... now its coming together. I have another request, go figure, but will apply this to the photo section before I ask so that I have a better understanding of what i need to ask of you... thanks again...

Ok... once again, you have saved the day. So, here's my next question. If I choose to purchase a professional vbulletin style/skin to improve the overall appearance of the site, what difficulties should i expect (if any) in having it apply to both the pp scripts?
