[OK] lost photos, database empty ! Hi all, i don't know why and how but i've lost all my pictures... photos are still in data files. how can i retreive my pictures ? the pp_photos in database is empty... and what is the difference between data files and upload files ? thanks for your help, |
precision : i do not have a database backup... :o |
Hello to get your photos back you need a database backup, If you dont you can try this in the link below but make sure you fix your server paths first in global options and storage options so uploads work. I take it you lost your photos as your paths where incorrect. http://www.photopost.com/forum/showp...68&postcount=4 |
thanks chuck, but all pictures uploaded will be tagged "by touba", isn't it ? if yes, it is not easier to put all pictures in ulpoads/1/ and do a bulk upload ? |
You can do that yes. do it however you wish. The way posted in my reply is the best way to do it to keep all photos in their proper category. |
thanks for your help chuck  i just found an old database backup, just missing almost 20 pictures, so... but i have an other problem, we can't upload (me and all members) pictures, there is a error message : (): Sorry, this image type is not supported yet. :( |
You have checked to ensure your server path is correct as noted above right? Have you ensured safe mode is off in php? Permissions have been set on the data and uploads directories every level down to 777? That should cover the things to check. |
yes after the database restore the path was changed with the old path, now is ok, thanks. in fact my problem (told in my firt message of this thread) appear when i click in photopost admin in scan database, after i tick all functions and i tick GO : then i was a message like : create thumbnail impossible, pictures removed from database... if someone understand my fluent english maybe he has the solution too :D |
