Question Random Thumb Blank

Hello, I am trying to display random thumb images (via inc_features.php) on my forum homepage (vbAdvanced). For some reason, random thumbs are not generated on the homepage and result in nothing being displayed.

I am using a modified version of inc_features.php that includes album images:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I have put the modificate in red, this includes personal albums in the display. However, it seems to be causing this random thumb display problem. When I remove it, changing it back to its original, there is no problem.

Can anyone help me with this?!

I dont see how that one modification alone would cause a blank thumb. Try viewing your thumb and see where it is looking for it and then view the right path. You can post those both here and we can tell you what we think the issue might be.

Thanks for the response, but I think I figured out the problem. After looking at the path of the missing thumb, I determined that it was duplicate copies of the image. You see, I allowed members to post an image into multiple categories (in this case, an album and a category). Due to the poor nature of that function, it caused the error to occur. After manually deleting these extra occurances, the issue started to decrease. Now that I have deleted almost all of them, it hardly displays missing thumbs now... Check it out: www.genxglow.com

Unfortunately, this strengthens my earlier rant.
For many reason, when a photo is put into multiple categories - only ONE instance of the photo's page should exist.

only one copy of the photo is stored on disk

Your issue is in your code modification of our files and not with our default code.

I am not worried about disk space at all, disk space is on the cheap. What I am worried about is multiple pages being created to handle the one photo. For instance, a user may comment on one instance - but that same comment is not displayed on the other instance of the photo. See the issues now?

No there is not an issue if you know how it works. I beleive Michael explained to you how this works. Yes there is only one photo on disk but if you upload to multiple cats each photo is treated like an individual photo.

Your only issue here is you had problems trying to alter our working code which does not have the issue above. It is when you altered the code you had a problem.
