Edit a Rating

Is it possible to edit a rating once made? A member accidentally rating a photo and I would like to reverse this.

Yes there is an edit link under each comment where you can remove or edit the comment rating.

Still can't find it. I click on Edit photo, but only see a way to edit comments and not ratings.

There is an edit link under each comment when you view a photo. Do you see this? You should as admin even if users dont have permissions to edit.

Yes, I see the Edit link, HOWEVER, can only edit comments and not ratings.

Check your permissions under edit cats in admin.

ugvote needs to be set permissions and I would suspect this is your issue that permissions are not set. It was mine.

Thanks for your explanation, but I've lost you.

- Your above code is in which file and do I need to edit this?
- Gone into gallery admin area, clicked "Edit Categories", "Edit" but only see 1 setting for ratings. Contest or Ratings. No other permissions here.
- What is ugvote?

You can not edit a rating that I see. As long as permissions are set you should be able to rate a photo surely but you can not change the rating. Let me know if you cant rate a photo and I will walk through your permissions with you.

You can edit a comment but the rating/comment can only be deleted if you do not want to change a rating.

I can rate a photo, just wanted to edit a previous rating. Pity it can't be done. Cause a member made an incorrect rating and wanted it changed.

I am sure Michael has a reason why ratings can not be changed.
