I dont see anything wrong with that setup your showing. If you are electing to use an optional thumbnail layout and it does not work with your images cause the overlays are transparent then try setting your thumbnail layout to just thumbnail in Admin => Layout Options.

The black background should be transparent similar to this picture, thou when i add this to the gallery the thumbnails show black.. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
I tried setting to thumbnail, but had the same results. I only get the black backgrounds with transparent gifs??

The overlay itself is transparent
The thumbnails templates have background colors. See it is set to black by default you may modify your templates to suit your needs. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Please post a correct url to the issue as I have clearly explained this issue in detail how things operate. The overlay templates are designed to work a certain way and the background is set to black. Maybe your editing the wrong template or wrong template set. You are editing the templates in the vb3enhanced folder.
Your picture above clearly shows you have set the background color to white . We do not control how an image processor converts your picture as that deals with the server image processor not Photopost.

Yes i am altering the vb3enhanced folder template as this is the one that changes the template in the PP Admin panel, trying to alter the thumbnail-round.tmpl outside the vb3enhanced folder does not change anything.
Use this URL where you can see that i have added 3 gif pictures that can be seen All Black.... Click Here |

yes well your talking about the picture itself. That has nothing to do with Photopost to my knowledge.
The photo is processed with Imagemagick and GD2 so obviously one of those server image processor has a problem with your gif image. Maybe it is the transparency I cant say since those two programs would be supported by their authors. http://imagemagick.net/script/index.php http://www.boutell.com/gd/
Those are the sites for those programs which are server programs. My suggestion to you is upload a jpg and a regular gif. If they work and it is this transparent gifs of yours there is your issue. I know for a fact no image processor is going to properly process an animated gif correctly. Maybe your issue is the same because you can not process a multi layered image with an image processor.

I stated above that the jpg pictures are fine, it only affects the gif pictures? I don't have the same issue when adding gifs to the forums? So this is wide spread or is it just me?? |

I think your missing what I am saying. You can post a unedited photo on a forum sure like you did here. What I saying is try and generate a smaller picture with imagemagick or GD2 you will see it cant do it, You can do a regular gif fine. Just not your multi layer transparent or animated gifs they are not normal image files an image processor can handle.
