| 2 copies on one server
Hi
I have a forum that has PPPro installed and working, now I want to install eithrt another copy of PPPro or VBAGallary on same forum/server.
One will work as a gallary, the other will be for photo contestes so users can vote on the second part.
If you are asking why, PPPro screws things up if we set one catagory as a contest section.
I am using an old version as we did a lot of modefication for arabising, if we upgrade we have to do a lot of stuff all over again.
If installation service would include upgrading and we have only to modefy some templates, then I am intrested in buying the service.
regards
Hani

You can install a second copy on the server to integrate with vb again just make sure if its the same product you use a different mysql table prefix. Thats it.

Thats it. | Is this if there's two copies on the same server, or two copies on the same database? I'd thought that the same database would need different prefixes, but if each installation has a dedicated db then they'd be OK with the same prefix.

It is not an issue if you have vbulletin photopost and vbgallery in one database. The comment about different prefixes is if you install two of the photopost pro galleries on the same database. You set different table prefixes on an install.

You can not install two copies of vbgallery on the same server to my knowledge. Only Photopost Pro can you install a second copy with a different prefix. vbGallery is essentially an addon gallery to vbulletin hense it is not a standalone gallery like Photopost therefore no extra config variables like Photopost Pro. You can only install one vbGallery to one vbulletin.
