| How do I integrate with FusionBB?
I had already been integrated with UBB.threads long ago when they were at 6.x version number. I imported into FusionBB and have tried integrating with FusionBB with mixed results.
PhotoPost recognizes all my users, mods, admins, etc. However only admins and mods may post or upload photos, even though I want everyone to be able to do so. I checked the group permissions and recognized my old groups from .threads. I tried refresing my groups from the forum software, but nothing happened. Or if it did, there are the same groups as I had with .threads.
Anyhow, what am I doing wrong? Photopost version 5.6.2
Am I supposed to do anything under the "Edit Integration" link from the admin menu, or is that vB only?
Secondly, what should be the exact setting for FusionBB under "Forum Options" if I integrate with FBB? I have it set to "fusion". Then again, I have no idea if that is right, I just put it in there. Is that correct, or is it something along the lines of "fusionbb" or "FusionBB"?
Thanks!

I would suggest what you do is delete all entries in your usergroups table of Photopost and rerun install and input all the right info to integrate with fusionbb.

So I can delete everything out of the usergroups table and rerun the install script? That won't cause problems with there being information in all the other tables, not to mention the fact that the tables have already been created?

No you will just get duplicate errors. The install is the easiest way to switch the integration and update your settings.

Figures, I had just deleted the install.php script from my folder. Now I have to upgrade to 6.0.1 and then re-install. Fun!

One weird thing is I just replaced all my files except congif* and the data directory and ran the upgrade utility and I got some php errors and the galleries were unusable, and I have run several upgrades before. Even more weird, I just replaced the old 5.6.1 photopost directory and moved the data directory back there and it looked ok, but with 5.6.1 files. I even was able to update user groups from the admin panel when I couldn't before. How bad is it having a 6.0 database structure and using the 5.6.1 files?

You cant reverse yourself you need to deal with each error of your issue since your switching integrations and upgrading at the same time. So first error?
Url?

I have had PhotoPost integrated with Fusion for a while now, it just never was able to refresh from Fusion's usergroups. So I think for the time being I will go back to 5.6.1 and try to do this over again later. Then I will give you the url's of any errors I recieve.

well you should stay on 6.0 and post errors for us to assist you. when you say you cant refresh groups you need to post the error. With debug option in global options set to display errrors as admin it should give you the true errors for us to assist.
You can email server info to support@photopost.com |

I probably will email the server info at some point, but I will keep working on it at first. I will recheck the documentation on upgrading to 6.0 and do that. As far as refreshing groups, I never got an error, it just never worked in 5.6.1, but does seem to work right in 6.0 (I was just having other problems after upgrading).
Anyhow, for reference sake, this is what the gallery looks like at the moment with 5.6.1: http://www.laondalatina.com/galeria |

Helps me learn
Anyhow, as far as upgrading, is it safe to assume I can just upload the new photopost release (6.0) into the same directory, copy over version 5.6.1's config files and data directory and run upgrade.php? That is how I have done all other upgrades up to this point.

You download photopost 6.01 and unzip it. You can safely upload everything over your old photopost except do not upload the config files or install.php. You then run your upgrade script and after it is finished delete that. Your done and should be fine.

I was able to finally resync the groups. I went into the database with phpMyAdmin admin manually deleted everygroup but Administrators. While in another Firefox tab, I was already in the admin area under Edit Usergroups and I refreshed the groups from my forum software. Now it is working correctly. I may just leave it at 5.6.1 for the time being.
