How do I take care that the navbar (with my photos) is displayed correctly? I think width should be the same as statistics (left) and news(right) together?

You need to set in layout options in admin the table width to 100% then open a table in your header with that smaller width and close it in the footer. Also remember if you set your width too small the middle will still break out of the table. If you have further questions please ask.
