I did notice that my forum and my gallery is using a different database. However the accounts and users are updating fine.
In other words if i change my password in the forum the gallery updates it but if i look in the config files of each system they are using different databases.

Hi Chuck, it has a different database.
However if i change it to the same the photopost no longer works.

how can it be using a different one all though the password works in both systems?

many thanks so far for the reply.

No what I asked so we are both clear let me ask again. In your Photopost config-inc.php file there are spots for the photopost database and user database. Now in that config file under user database does that match your vb database info in your vbulletin config file? If not then thats your issue as your not integrated with vb properly.

avatar prob

No that information is different then the details for the vbulletin forum.
Although if i update the Vbulletin password it works on the gallery.

Photopost config-inc.php
shows a different database than VB

vb file
config.php shows a different database store and password

i got some custom work done on the site so i have made a support ticket with them them to check it out.

still dont know how it works if there using different connections.

thanks for the help

Yeah if you want Photopost to integrate with the correct vbulletin install in question then Photopost must be installed to integrate with that vbulletin. Therfore the database information in the Photopost config must match the vb user database info specified in the vbulletin config file.

Hi Chuck, the problem was the match not being correct, it has been changed and i have exported the data from the old forum database to the new one.
Thanks for your support.
