force users to choose the right category

Is there any way to have the category dropdown display "Choose Correct Category" for the first option and not allow a user to get by the upload photo page until they choose a category? Many are missing it and many photos end up in the wrong category.

Thank!

Not really without code modification. If you do not wish to upload to the members gallery turn off upload permissions to that category. If the first category in your upload dropdown box is a category that does not contain images say a parent cat of alot of subcats the program will tell you to pick a cat because that one is not allowed to contain images. As long as the first cat you allow to upload to is the members gallery nothing will ever be stopped.

I do have member galleries off. I have 4 other cats. They always upload to the first (by default) drop down box option. Need to have it blank so they have to choose.

Okay well there is nothing in the software to do that so that would be something you would need to code in should you desire to change how the program operates.
