Space restrictions

I have setup a space restriction for my usergroups. It's pretty high, and after four years, I've finally had someone reach the limit. Is there an easy way to roll off the oldest images? Or do they have to delete one by one? Which would be a huge pain.

I've tried to run a purge, but my gallery is too big, and I've never been able to have the purge complete. It would be really nice if I could run a purge on a specified user gallery, but I don't think that can be done - right?

You can delete all photos by a user. You can delete photos one by one. You can delete photos by category. You can use admin approval area to view photos by album or category to check multiple ones to delete. However there is no bulk delete area based on userid. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Ooh. That's not good. We don't want to delete all her things. Just the oldest things to make room for the newest. I know the purge allows you to purge everything older than a specified date for a given gallery/category. We need this functionality for each member gallery. Could you add that to the wish list?

If I could get the purge to run successfully against my entire gallery that would be good. But I guess it times out.

Well what type of error do you get when you run purge? Sounds to me like a timeout right?

You could try adding these to your pp-inc.php file where noted in bold at top to give PHP more memory and do away with timeouts.
