Who's Online Count Too High Hi! I'm running PhotoPost 5.62 and vBulletin 3.6.4. Two of the three vB3 integration options are turned on (turned off headers and footers, turned on vB3 controls and WYSIWYG control). Our PhotoPost installation has been online and integrated all summer. Yesterday we made a big announcement for it and many people came to view it. We weren't surprised when we noticed our "Who's Online" list in vBulletin swell from the usual 100 people to 300+ people. But the weird thing is that the "Who's Online" count in vBulletin has remained high, even during the middle of the night. I experimented with one of my accounts and discovered that if I didn't sign out of PhotoPost and simply closed the browser window or quit the browser altogether, vBulletin would continue reporting that user name as being online. I checked my vBulletin settings and it's set to auto-refresh the Who's Online list every 60 seconds. Is this a known issue (I searched these forums but didn't find mention of this), or is it related to my PhotoPost settings? Here's a link to my PhotoPost and vBulletin, if that's helpful at all: PhotoPost: http://www.passporter.com/photos vBulletin: http://www.passporterboards.com/forums/ Thanks in advance! |
Photopost plays no part in the vb whos online in any manner actually, We have our own who's online displayed on our page not vbs. You could have it where you log out of the gallery if your cookies are not aligned properly and the user could still be logged in to the forum. I dont know enough about vb code to assist here and given the fact Photopost does not interact with vb's page where it has whos online I dont think this is a photopost issue. Here is your forum and it has no idea photopost is even installed on your server. There is their whos online. They are just grabbing who they say is online stored in their database. Maybe their refresh thing is not updating right. Could be a vbulletin bug. http://www.passporterboards.com/forums/ |
