How do I uninstall PhotoPost - Giving up!

I can't do this anymore.

I do I effectively uninstall PhotoPost of my system and be sure it is clear of all integration?

well we know your issue is not with Photopost. Your trying to setup a photo block on your forum. Your photopost is installed perfectly

http://www.almsforums.com/gallery/index.php

Your forum tells you that you have included our file somewhere in one of those files in your vb. Basically my suggestion is you redownload vbportal and vbulletin delete any config files they have and the install directories and simply reupload clean vbulletin and vbportal files to make sure you get rid of any hard coded edits you made in files. You should then be able to include a photo block on your forum then. Please contact us via your other thread when you have done this to make sure your back at square one with just a normal unedited forum photopost and portal.

One of WHAT files? I've looked at every file changed since the install date.

Seriously, I'm not trying to give you a bad wrap.. but this isn't worth the time it has taken.

Well John it is clear there is no issue with Photopost. That much we know. Your issue was with including the inc_features.php file in your vb. You had done hand edits as well as plugins. Your page was not throwing any errors so we had you turn on display errors.

There are two errors which make it impossible for you to show a photo block there. First of which has already been corrected.

1. Your server had open_basedir set which meant every script can not be ran outside its own directory. So that was the first issue which has now been resolved.

2. After we resolved the first issue we see you included the file somewhere we dont know yet.

This is why I asked above for you to make sure you upload clean files for vbulletin. I also asked for ftp because I can make a tweak to that file to get it to display on vbportal if you want

I already found your mistake you did not remove the hard coded edits in index.php that you said you removed. Once I had ftp I went in saw your mistake corrected it and your site is fine.

Let me know if there is anything else we can do to assist have a great weekend.

ah thats an easy one buddy. Possibly while editing your file extra trailing space could have been added to your index file when you edited it. I have reuploaded a clean index file for vbulletin for you. I just logged in with no issues here.

I will take a Yuengling Draft please LOL

Enjoy your weekend buddy.

Talking

Sorry off topic - but just want to add.

John, just want to say what a great site you have.

I'm also a fan of Sportscars - but my site hasn't the clean look of yours.

I live in the UK and have been to the 12hr Sebring race twice (hope to get there next year).

The Portal you have is top notch - is it easy to administer?

Also, I think Chuck is a top bloke - never gets upset with all the questions we give him.

My site is www.sportscar-racing.com - similar topic - but lame in comparison.

Thanks... we're operating in BETA right now and haven't formally announced the site. So... I'm not sure how easy it's going to be. LOL

Chuck really came through for me. I'm a detail freak when it comes to look and feel, and the tweak I wanted was important to me. Chuck hooked me up.

We also operate www.trackbytes.com - www.automotivephoto.com and www.johnthawley.com

Good stuff... thanks!

John - I will mention those sites for the guys.

If the portal works OK - I think I'll give it a try.
