x posts before upload allowed

Hi,

I've tried to search for this but could find anything relevant to what I want to ask.

I have the latest photopost pro integrated with vB3.6.8.

Is it possible to restrict file uploads to members with X post count. I need this to stop people registering just to host images to linkto on other sites.

Thanks,
Paul

No this is not possible unless you modified the code to do so.

Chuck,

Can't he just use vB's usergroups? Create a new group named "Whatever" and then use vB's promotions system to promote "Registered Users" with X post count into the "Whatever" group and inside of PhotoPost "Whatever" has permissions to upload but "Registered Users" do not.

Unless PP6 has changed how it handles vB usergroup permissions then doing the usergroup method should work fine.

Hey Kevin, that sounds like a very tangible idea. From what I've seen in both photopost and vb this would be achievable as you have already suggested. I'd still like to see if Chuck has any comments but I'll go ahead and see if this works anyway a little later.

Thanks for posting that solution Kevin, it's really appreciated.

Yes he can do whatever he wishes with vb usergroups correct. Just make sure to set permissions accordingly in photopost. There is no function in our application to do this so if it is something that he can do in the forum cool but sorry I dont use or get into all the forum settings since thats an entire product we do not support.

You can also outline and sell vb subscriptions to give access to other levels of permissions as well
