Watermark image size?

can I get some simple steps to activate watermarking only ONE category in my gallery? I would like it to be permanent watermarking for this one category.

What dimensions should my watermark image be?
What file format?
Do i upload the watermark image into a gallery category?

If you use GD2 as your image processor the watermark needs to be a png. Imagemagick would use a gif. You can in admin => watermark options turn on watermarking and place the server path to the image in your options. You can upload it whereever. Then in Admin => Edit Categories you would set permissions for each cat which usergroup and which cats have watermarks added.

That should be it.

Thank you Chuck... but do I also need to choose Permanent or On The Fly? I can't find that option. Would like to try On The Fly first.

sorry... another question....
if I only want to watermark ONE category do I leave the path to watermark blank in the admin watermark options, and specify a path only in the category settings?

I don't see a simple watermark on or off per category is why I ask. It simply ask for a path if different than forum default.

Hello no the watermark in cats editor is an override from the default watermark. You want to setup permanent watermarking and remove permissions to watermark under edit categories in admin except that one cat you want watermarked.
