Browse through recent photos

A few day's ago we upgraded from version 5.3 to 6.0.
On our index page we have the most recent photo's. When you clicked on a thumb before the upgrade, you could easily browse through all the new pictures. Now you're taken into the category and you have to go back and click on another thumb to see the next recently posted picture. Can I change back this behavior?

If you click a thumb link in our program you go to the showphoto page to view the actual photo.
