PP 6.0 - How to activate the "message board"?

Hi

I just did a testinstall of PP6. In the description of the news version it is written:

"Message Board (for stand-alone systems to use as a mini-forum) "

How can I set this up? I do not see any information about it in ACP

Thanks in advance

In your forum settings, set the Enable PP Message Board to YES.

You'll see the link in the menu bar.

There is a switch in admin to enable certain things and only in a standalone will you see everything when viewing the gallery. There will be links.

This testinstall is a fresh stand alone version. No integration at all. No hack. I just downloaded the zip file 3 hours ago.

I do not see this option in my forum settings. See the screenshot.

o.k., I found it.

Next problem. i start a thread, save it. I click again on "message board" in the navigation bar, see the thread title and click on it. Result: Error 404.

It seems that it is not using th correct path in the url of my browser.

Do I have to type somewhere the path additionally?

Uploading images and writing comments below them outside of message board are working correctly..

Line 61 of the board.tmpl file should have the code in bold added to it was missing the global photopost directory statement.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

o.k., that worked.

There are a few issues with the apperance of the message-board, which are not optimal.

I do not have today the time to describe it in detail, will do that later.

You can see a few comments about it already on my testboard in the thread "hallo"

I, too, am getting the 404 error when clicking on a message on the message board. I added the code mentioned above to board.tmpl and noticed no change.

Is there another file that needs attention?

Running Photopost v.6 (9-19-07)

Is there a list of updated files since that build so that I can upload only those changed files?

Try applying the edit in my post above and I need to pass this on for inclusion into the build again as it has not been applied.

Are you running an RC or GOLD update? It all depends there have been 2 releases in the last week and both announcements have the changed files. I would suspect you need to upload everything except your configs if you are running an RC.

I don't know how to tell if it was RC or GOLD. I downloaded the file "PhotoPost PHP Pro v6.0" from the members area. I ran upgrade.php and then removed it.

The only release announcement I can find is this one:
http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133338 .

Where are the other releases announced with their updated files listed?

If you download the core code you should fix any bugs except this one. As long as you make the change to the boards.tmpl you should be fine.

This is a clean Photopost 6.0 with the change above please tell me do you get any errors?

The link to the message works fine.

However, the link to the author of the message returns the error, "The requested URL /member.php was not found on this server."

This is the same error that both links return on my site, even though I have added the code to board.tmpl as you instructed.

Line 217 of board.php should read this as noted in the code in bold which is currently missing.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
