pp 562 & vb 368: What means "vB3 Enhanced features" in ACP?

Hi

pp 562 & vb 368: What means "vB3 Enhanced features" in ACP?

What exactly means "vB3 Enhanced features" in ACP/Edit Integration?

What kind of features do I have if I set this to "on" and everything else to "off"

The 3 vb3 enhanced boxes turn on the vb3 header footer and stylesheet. If you do not wish to use the vb3 header footer or style you would turn these settings off in edit integration. Did we just not discuss this and you turned this off in a thread just the other day?

yes we did, but for the other problem (usergroup IDs) I try to check whether this has an impact on it.

There are 3 on/off options at this place in ACP. The descriptions are as follows:

---------------

1. Do you want to enable the vB3 Integration which uses your vB3 headers, footers and styles?

2. Do you want to enable the vB3 Enhanced features which use vB3 controls in PhotoPost?

3. If using the Enhanced option above, do you want to enable the vB3 WYSIWYG control in Post Comments?

---------------

Only #1 is for the header/footers. The #3 is self-explaining, so only #2 is missing for my understanding.

For the question whetehr to use the Css of vb, there is another place in ACP/Forum settings, which I can switch "on/off":

---------------
Use Integrated forum stylesheets?
If you use a forum like vB3 or Threads and want to use the intergated stylesheet option, choose Yes
--------------------

So it seems for me that #2 has nothing to do with stylesheets or with header/footers.

But for what is it then? What kind of feature are possible with this set to "on"?

Posting interfaces with smilies goes right in line with switch 3.

yes, but I asked for #2:

2. Do you want to enable the vB3 Enhanced features which use vB3 controls in PhotoPost?

Yes that controls the display of thevb3 templates and posting interfaces and as I posted in my last post goes along with option 3.

Option 1 is the MASTER SWITCH which turns on the vb3 header footer. There is the style switch in admin under forum settings and then the 2 other vb switches which determine whether to use our posting interface or vbulletin's and along that lines as well whether to use WYSIWYG or not.

I hope that clarifies the issue.
