How can I make to see the last affected photograph in a category like thumbnails?

The last affected what do you mean last uploaded is show on the main index

I'd like the thumbnail of the last photo to be shown in the category.

If your asking about the category avatar you can only tag an image by viewing an image in the caegory and hitting MAKE INDEX THUMB. There is no way within the code that will allow the last photo in a cat to be the avatar
