Upgrade 5.3 > 5.61 cat destroy

Hi..

I was going through my upgrade from 5.3 to 5.62 of photopost and all seemed ok... now i've checked my settings and they match my other install of 5.62 - i also copied over the 5.62 templates because my index or categories are now...well not categories and just show either black spaces or text links which are not links...just text, looks like personal albums are now listed on the main page...but are not links, it's weird, and i don't think i'm going to get them back? - total photos is the same, upload photos just show uploading to member index and personal albums...the cat names are there...with amount of photos etc, but gone so to speak...no way at the,,, anyone else had this?

it's either cat cache or the other...turned both off and it's working again, yeah cat-cache it was...
