Permissions for friends Hi, I use Photopost in Connection with vBulletin. My Users want to set permissions in their albums for friends. Example: User A - Friend User B - Friend User C - No Friend User A has an album and wants to share it with User B, but not with User C. I know there are private albums, but how can my users set for their private album, that only friends can access them. It would be cool if User B could see an album in the album overview of User A, that User C cannot see. At the moment i only see the way of sharing the private link, that is build during the process of creating a private album. But that is hopefully not the only way of sharing private albums, isn't it? Greetings René |
private albums are only shared by the user if he gives the url and password to the album to his friend otherwise they can not be accessed without that password |
So there is no way of sharing it in an easy way, like setting rights for albums and pictures, only by giving friends the private URL? I think it is a little bit inconvenient for my users to store URLs and Passwords to the albums, to which they only have access to. |
They can share their urls and passwords to any friend they wish and they dont have to store anything. Their album urls are listed under MY ALBUMS |
I think i expressed a little mistakable. I know, that private Albums are listed under My Albums. But, the friends that are allowed to access this albums have to store the URLs, or do they have a possibility to save the URLs for quick access? The most convenient way would be to set access rights for an album, so that only the friends can see the album, that are allowed to. Accessable over links in the Member Galleries, not explicit URLs. |
They have to save them and they are private because of passwords |
