| Users cannot upload, admin cannot login in
Hi there -
I have a Photopost install here: http://www.chronicles-network.com/gallery/index.php
The problem is that users have reported being unable to upload photos for a while - there's simply no upload link.
Additionally, I've just tried to login to the Photopost admin panel - the link is present - but when I sign in, I simply get booted back to the gllaery index page, but logged out from my vb account.
Could you please advise?
- Brian

Sounds to me like your application is not installed correctly integrating with vb
Two things here. Run through install once again paying careful attention to the vb license number in the config and the cookie prefix on step 4. After installing right you should get into admin then you can set permissions in admin edit usergroups

Sorry for the delay - didn't get email notification of a reply.
I know the install was running absolutely fine before - there are a lot of images that were uploaded to it previously without a problem.
There was a big server crash a while back though - no idea if that may have caused the problem.
Just a little concerned about re-running the install in case I end up deleting anything (even with a backup), or else cause any other issues.
You really think a re-install is the best way, though?

well I would suggest you verify your cookies are set correct and as I posted before verify your license number for vb because being logged out of vb when logging in points to your license number and cookies set incorrect
cookie path /
cookie prefix bb
cookie domain .chronicles-network.com
Dont worry about reinstall just check on these things and as far as upload verify uploads and data are chmod recursively every level down

Okay, thanks for that - reinstalled Photopost - all values looked correct, and yet the install is now giving errors: Quote:
Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in /home/sffchron/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 60
Warning: require(./global.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/sffchron/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 61
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/sffchron/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 61
| The files are physically present at those locations, though.

On the last step of install you entered wrong path to the forum. edit your config-int.php and set the correct path in the $vbpath line and save. You will then be fine.

Many thanks for that - almost there.
Just got the following error now: Quote: |
Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg() in /home/sffchron/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 84

That error tells me your using GD2 as your image processor but GD2 is not installed on your server so you need to discover which image processor your new host has.

Excellent! That finally did it!
GD2 crashed the server for a while, though, due to the way Apache was compiled, but all is fine now.
I can get around to buying another licence now. |
