how can i limit subcategory by arrays !!
 

hi there ,

in my PhotoPost gallery i have category consist of more than 50 subcategory , it's too slow when open this category .

how can i make it 12 subcategory every page !!

You can set in admin edit categories for the parent cat how many levels of children to display and there is also this in index options

Number of top level categories to show on index page?
Set to 0 to show all top level categories on one page

all my subcategory it's top level categories ..

i use : Number of top level categories to show on index page? = 0

this to show all categories in ( index page ) but what about subcategory inside categories it's show all subcategory in one page .

i edit this category then i change ( Depth of children to display ) to 12

but it's not work !!

when i open this category it's show all subcategory ( around 50 ) and i see in top page ( show 12 per page ) !!

I think you misunderstand what catdepth means. It is going to display levels beneath levels. It is not a setting to say how many cats to display. It is going to display all in that one level and then go to the next level.

I hope that clarifies the confusion and as my reply above states there is nothing

The only top level setting I noted is in the index options and thus looking at your site which we can not do since you have it blocked to viewing I cant suggest anything else. I am assuming what you have is a couple top level cats and many subcats but you would need to make your site viewable to us

Correct your url proves me right here I dont need to see your site to know your not talking about top level cats. You can not paginate subcats only topcats because thats handled by the index script

You might want to try using the normal category view to see how top levels view when you set the top level setting
