cookie

what is this parameter in the setting

Cookie Domain
.yourdomain.com; sets the cookie to be usable across the domain

I have a server with host abc.abd.com and ip address of 192.168.1.50. I successfully login from the browser with the url abc.abd.com but when i access the server using the ip adress, its prompts to enter user/password again. how do i fix this problem.

Your cookie domain determines how the cookie is read. If you want a cookie to be created by url or ip then leave this blank so it works with both

I cant say what restrictions your host may or may not have but generally one NEVER USES AN IP ALWAYS USE YOUR DOMAIN NAME
