Emails for Comments

My users are questioning why they are not receiving emails notifying them that a comment was made on their photos. How do I fix this?

Well email notification to a photo is something a user turns on when they upload a photo have they done this? It works the same as when say someone else wants to be notified but hits the recieve email updates link. Instead on upload we have that little notify box that asks whether they want notification and then we place an insert into the notify table if they do

I tried it myself I uploaded a photo and clicked on the receive email updates link but still did not get the email. Is there a way to fix it?

I have tested the facility and it works. If you do not see errors on the site when posting a comment then I think your issue might be mail server related.

Have you asked your webhost if PHP mail works on your server?

they receive emails from the forum (PHPBB) are they in php format?

I beleive phpbb uses their own mail program or function
