changing prefixes

I upgraded my version of UBB Threads to 7.x and when I went into PP to change the settings for the prefix and the location of the forums the admin panel locked me out with an error message. "We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later."

The problem is directly tied to the prefix for the forum db tables. When I change it from w3t_ to ubbt_ the photopost software errors out. Any suggestions?

I would suggest you use ftp to change any config database settings.

You can use phpmyadmin in your host panel to view your photopost settings table and entry 41 change to threads7 and entry 83 you put the new table prefix

There is a bigger problem

Threads has changed the schema and the table names and column names have changed. For example the file threads.php is looking for things like this...

if ( $userid != 0 ) $query = "SELECT U_Number,U_Username,U_Email,U_Password,U_Groups,U_TempPass,U_TimeOffset,U_SessionId, U_StyleSheet FROM {$Globals['dprefix']}Users WHERE U_Number=$userid";

There is no longer a table called 'dprefix' Users it is now ubbt_USERS and the column names are all upper case and have changed. It looks like there needs to be a new threads.php file that matches the ubbthreads schema. I don't know what other photopost files might be affected.

Update

Ok I can log in now but the style is no longer showing properly even though it's pointing to the same file. Is there a default style sheet I can point to for threads7?

You can set the default stylesheet in admin panel forum settings
