Frank, since you seem to have so many questions it might help if you read the manual.

Here's a page, for example, that you may be interested in:-

I have read the manual - and i also clicked on the link above and where in that document does it even shpw the word even Moderators - are you try to say to me to setup a Moderators i have to setup the user group called Moderators and i can only assume the syntaxl needs to be correct upper case on the first letter lower case on the rest - the software will handle it form there and support Moderators. Is this a correct statment or not ?

THANKS

Ok i tried that

Moderator list for John T. Heard

There are no moderators assigned to this category.

There are no moderators inherited from its parents

What I did was go to usergroup and create a new uersgroup called
Moderators spelled as you see here.

tested it buy going to the categorys and got the error message above.

I do have a question ?

what does the Mod Access? mean in seting permisions does that mean Module Access or is that for set permisiosion on the Moderators?

THANKS

You would need to assign the moderator to a category. If you want global moderators use the switch in admin options

basically a mod can approve edit and delete photos where you allow etc

The word in the Mod when setting the

As i set up certain usre groups with permisions i see a option called -

Mod Access?

In

Usergroup name

Admin Access?

Mod Access?

Allow Uploads?

Allow comments?

Require Moderation?

Allow edit own photos?

Allow edit own posts?

Allow albums?

Assign Albums to Cats?

Does the Mod Access? have anything to do with seting up

Moderators

Or is it some where else like you said above in

You would need to assign the moderator to a category. If you want global moderators use the switch in admin options

Please explain how they all relate or not ?

What exactly is hard to understand here? A Mod can do the things I meantioned above in my last post. You seem to ask the same thing over after I already answered. Please explain more what your not understanding here

A Mod can not make categories or do any other Admin related thing like get into sensitive settings etc. They are geared as helpers to approve delete or filter edit content on the site.

The option Mod Access?

does the Mod short for Moderators in the Mod Access when setup user groups?

In short does Does the Mod Access? have anything to do with seting up

Moderators. or not - Please explain that only ?

Depending on the amswer above - being yes - then i ask is that the only thing required to allow Moderators. or do i have to do something else where also?

Mod access needs to be yes in edit usergroupos for them to be a mod so they need to be in the moderators usergroup. If you do that you can have mods by category or global. There is a switch in admin to say whether mods can be global meaning edit delete or move photos of all categories

Frank, I'm a bit puzzled that you needed to create a user group called "Moderators". My stand-alone PP install has "Moderator" as one of the default user groups

I do apologise - I am using stand-alone but it must have been so long ago that I created a "Moderator" group that I'd forgotten that I had. Still, if you say so I'll believe you! Sorry Frank.
