disable html in Photo Details

how do i disable html in the Photo Details area - some members have taken to dropping their urls in this area - leave the site open to spamming by editing the image afterwards

Please explain your thought process here. HTML IS NOT ALLOWED in photopost. However a user can use bbcode as always so if you enter a url it will be converted etc. I dont see where this opens anything to spamming which is why I ask your thought process.

yep well maybe its bbcode - can i turn that off ? and if so does it turn it off for posts that already have been made ?

just checked the "Show UBBCode on Photo page?" option is already set to No ???

you can see the url in the image description which is what i wantr to disable

as for spamming - theoretically some one could post a series of images let them go through the system then when not so obvious to the admin change the description and add whatever url they like - hence adding links to some skanky site could damage a sites rep in the search engines and generally

What is that whole section in the middle the whole share thing?

No there is no way to disable bbcode in the desc unless you alter the code. You will find the convert_markups line for $desc in showphoto.php and need to comment it out or remove it but you do so at your own risks

the "whole share thing" sic is a mod to allow digg users etc to give out the page - it came from vb.org - a way to get more visits to the site
