Help please! I have a huge issue with searches!

My gallery is an integral part of my shopping site - what is in the gallery helps sell product. It's very important to me!

I lost all my searches with the recent upgrade. I can live with that if I have to. I'll replace them. But Michael just told me the searches are static - they save what was there at the time the search was first executed. This means that none of the new images are getting picked up in the search. This is a HUGE issue for me.

Can anyone please tell me how to avoid the save search, and execute it each time it is requested. I've got to have the newest images in the gallery picked up when the search is executed. Or else, save it for only a day, then re-execute.

Thanks.

I can't get an answer to this issue here or via the help desk. Does this mean that no ones knows the answer?

I REALLY need some help here! This is hugely impacting my business. I can rebuild all my searches if I must. However, right now if I execute a saved search on the shopping site, and it is executed after the search expiration date, I get: Search id is not valid or has expired.

So I have a choice of:
1) Bumping the expiration date up to a huge number, but then the search misses the new images
2) Invalid searches

This is costing me money in lost sales. People buy what they can see used. And I can't show them!

At this point, I need it fixed, even if that means I have to pay someone to give me an answer. I can accept a search that uses saved results for 24 hours, but once that expiration is reached, then the search needs to be re-executed saving the results for another 24 hours. In my opinion, this is what it should do already.

Please let me know how to get this help and/or answer.

If I can't get this resolved, is it possible to go back to the prior release of Photopost until I can find another solution?

You may be able to compare the showgallery.php from the previous version to put the search code back into place to allow you to use the old format; Beyond Compare should tell you the differences. That would be the place I would suggest looking at.

Michael, Chuck did the upgrade for me - I don't have a copy of the old. How can I get that?
