Imagemagick

I have given access, via ftp, to someone, directly into their uploads folder. They can now upload a file larger than 2MB into it. That bypasses the 2MB limit set, that is out of my control.

They are having problems then processing the file(s). They have tried to check the checkbox, "Skip upload and process the files already in your upload directory", then hitting Submit. But then, they don't get the image processed, they get a success message, but the image isn't displayed for them, and it isn't placed in the Gallery. They have also tried to place the ftp url in the "Retrieve all images from a URL:" area, and they get the same problem. One example, is that the image is within the pixel limit range, and is 2.4MB in filesize. This doesn't process either. I don't seem to get the same problem. They also seem to get a filesize too large error. ...exceeds filesize limit... or similar. Is there anything I can do to counteract this?

Thanks.

Your server still needs to be setup to allow bigger file processing not just doing that means your set. You would need to deal with any error but asking for support being very detailed in your response.

Now example if they get file is too big then very simply in admin => edit usergroups you remove the file size restriction.
