Unhappy My HOST killed MySQL server, and lost backups.

Hi guys. not a very good day for us today.

Our webhost had a crash on the MySQL server, and somehow managed to destroy the backups when trying to reinstall.

Our webserver is fine but all Database data is gone.

We are asking for recommendations on how to restart/restore out phosopost gallery with the least work. (as we have tons, we also lost a blogging community with hundreds of tenants )

The software is there, can it repopulate from the directories? what would you recommend?

thanks

Sorry, but there is no such tool that I am aware of. Without the database or its backup, you would likely be facing starting over.

There are tools to recover deleted files, even deleted partitions, but without having the server in front of you, it's up to your host to come up with it.

Honestly, I don't know your host, but that is a HUGE mistake. One that I would consider leaving them over.

Like Michael P mentioned, there is nothing really that will recover the database...

Sorry, once the data is lost there is nothing we can do to recreate all that.
