| Watermark won't show...
Integration: VB3
Server: GD2
So I've been searching and reading threads about why others were having problems with the watermark showing up. I've read about 50 threads and I still am unable to get it working.
First I tried the permanent watermark feature "PP AdminCP>Watermark Options>:"
Enable watermarking: YES
Position: SouthEast
Full Server path: /var/www/vhosts/..../banners/watermark.png
No dice. No errors but also no watermark on the pic. I tried large and small pics, gifs and jpegs with no avail.
From the get go, I made sure my only category "Member Galleries" had a blank line for "Path to Watermark" so that it would use the forum default.
Next I set the above settings back to "No" so that it is no longer using the watermarking. I then navigated to "PP AdminCP>Image Protection>Options>:
Use anti-leeching: NO
Enable on the Fly: YES
Overlay Watermark: YES
Full Path: /var/www/vhosts/..../banners/watermark.png
Still nothing. Again, no errors but also no watermark is being shown.
I have setup the following for your testing purposes.
Site: http://www.rhinoforums.net
Gallery: (Not yet deployed) http://forums.rhinoforums.net/gallery/
Watermark: http://www.rhinoforums.net/adsystem/.../watermark.png
User ID: PPost
PWord: post1photo

One more piece of info:
I am not sure what MOGRIFY is so I left that field as default (/usr/bin/X11/mogrify) during installation. I am running RedHat and could not locate anything named MOGRIFY on my server.

Okay well if your using on the fly watermarks you should have watermarked images or an error displayed along with no picture
So the key is to make sure your using the correct FULL server path to the image
As far as permanent watermarking you had it set right but probally did not set the watermark permissions in the edit categories section for each category

I am using the correct FULL server path, I just didn't want to post it in here. But I have verified many times that it is the correct path. So since no watermarks are showing up, and it is evident that I did everything correctly, do I need to open a support ticket or something? What can I do to further troubleshoot this issue? Thanks again for the help.

More info:
I have made sure all permissions are set correctly according to your install guide. I also set the permissions of the watermark.png to 777.
I can provide screenshots of my CP if needed, or I can do any additional debugging requested.
EDIT: PLEASE HELP! I purchased this software specifically for the purpose of watermarking images. I feel this is going to benefit me in exposure on the web and help my forum grow. Without the watermarks this software isn't of use to me. Please help!

As we have stated. Let's stick to ON THE FLY right now cause thats gonna show you an immediate error.
Your saying there are no errors either way and that simply can not be.
Turn on the use of the watermark.php script and use the overlay image
Use anti-leeching: NO
Enable on the Fly: YES
Overlay Watermark: YES
Full Path: /var/www/vhosts/..../banners/watermark.png
When asked for the full server path to watermark image place it in there.
If your path is wrong then your not going to see any images when viewing the medium or large images
If your path is right and your using the overlay you should see something like this http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/show...2/limit/recent
The reason I say you will have an error when using on the fly and the watermark is not right is because the top layer image is the watermark so if your path is wrong or the watermark is not correct in any way your gonna get a nice big fat X.

This is why I am confused. I am using the on the fly watermarking. I have checked and double checked that my full path to the watermark file is correct. I can open the watermark .png in my browser. I have gone throughe every setting on PhotoPost and groomed them to me needs. I then set up on the fly watermarking with the options listed above. Shortly after doing this I uploaded a picture, but there is no watermark on it. My watermark file is about 200x50 if that matters. I tried 3 different watermark files, in photoshop yopu have the choice of saving a "PNG-8" or "PNG-24" but neither of them worked. I also tried using a jpg just for kicks but that also did not work.
My next debugging was to run a "Scan Database" and I checked "Watermark unwatermarked pictures". When I ran this it claimed that it had found 2 pictures without watermarks (the only 2 pics in the DB) and it claimed that it had successfully watermarked them. But sure enough, still no watermark. I ran the "Scan Database" again and this time it simply said "Checking Photo" and then "Finished". So my application thinks that these pictures are watermarked, but sure enough, they are not.
Is there something that I can do further to troubleshoot this problem? Do I need to get you an admin login so you can play around with the settings? I am sorry for being so persisitent on this issue, but I am a college student and $130 is no small amount for me. I bought this software specifically to watermark these images.
Thank you again for your time and help. I appreciate your patience.

Looks to me like its not finding the watermark at the path you claim it is at
Scan Database is not going to do anything because you have not properly set a working watermark and you need to set permissions in edit categories as I previously stated.
Let's stay on target here with ON THE FLY
You need to use a PNG with GD2 and on the fly watermarks.
You can send admin login to support@photopost.com |

Chuck, the user that you set up on my forum "Chuck S" is now an admin for photopost. Thank you again.
P.S. - I assure you with all certainty that my path is correct. I have logged into my server via ssh into my bash shell and verified the correct path numerous times.

Hello it has to be your path or permissions
EXAMPLE you had watermark2.png in there not watermark.png
Now I can not verify your path is wrong or right
I will tell you what I did do. I uploaded your watermark and mocked the path to point to that image and guess what http://forums.rhinoforums.net/galler...3/limit/recent
My suggestion go ahead delete my test picture and move your watermark to your gallery directory and update the watermark path accordingly

watermark2.png is also a valid file, you would have noticed should you have typed it into your browser. As I stated earlier, I was trying to different formats in photoshop with no avail.
For future searchers, I believe that my issue may have been the fact that the image was hosted in a separate subdomain. I can't understand why this would be an issue, but as soon as I moved the file to the same subdomain as my gallery, things began to work.
Now I am having an issue with the watermark on the medium sized image displaying very very tiny. I think I saw some posts on that while I was searching earlier.
Chuck, thank you for bearing with me and solving my issue. I am glad to have your product.
